In My Mailbox #10 (Super Edition!)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.

It's where we post about the latest books we've purchased, gotten from the library, or received for review... it doesn't necessarily have to be ones you got in the mail. Although a lot of mine DO come from my mailbox. :)

This will be a pretty big one, since I haven’t done this in a LOOOOONG time (like, more than a month). Let’s break it down, shall we?

PHEW! That took way too long. But at least this is everything from literally a month ago. Makes me feel less... crazy? I did get all those Nook books for cheap, some of them might still be on sale in case somebody else is wanting one. ^_^ And it was the first contest I won so far! So it's been good for me book-wise this last month. I did put back at least 3 or 4 books while at Borders. I didn't go too overboard, even though I wanted to. I'm excited to have Twenty Boy Summer finally--I can read it during Banned Books Week!

How was YOUR week/month? Link me up, I'd like to see!

  3. I got Twenty Boy Summer this week, too, although my copy was from the library. Did the story about it being banned get your attention, too?

I read Some Girls Are recently and it is a very powerful read (especially if you've ever been bullied). Courtney Summers is one of the most talented YA authors out there, in my opinion.

  7. Grace Fonseca & Jade!: Thanks! And thanks for stopping by!

TG: I have been wanting to read Twenty Boy Summer for awhile, but definitely even more so with the banning. I've heard a lot of good things about Courtney Summers, so I can't wait to read one.

S.Leighanne: I'm really anxious to read The Bell Jar. I love poetry and reading a story by a poet sounds great to me.

  8. Such a large IMM! I actually used to read Vampire Kisses in 2005 or 2006, before my friend recommended Twilight. I think I only got up to the third book in the series because I realized there was a whole world of better writing. I've just ordered Twenty Boy Summer so I'm looking forward to reading that. I also have Fall For Anything waiting for me on my bookshelf. I absolutely love those covers of the Ruby Oliver series, but I was stuck with the covers with the frog and the penguin...I hope you enjoy all your books, though! :)

  9. Jessica: Thanks!

Chey: I own the first three with the old covers of the Ruby Oliver series, but I wish I waited on getting them because the new covers are awesome.

  10. I've got a copy of The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove and I like the fact that a.) it's written by Lauren Kate and b.) that it's sort of like Cruel Intentions meets Macbeth. It totally looks like it's going to be a really good read. :)

    New follower, for sure!

  13. Holy book heaven! What a great haul. I had to laugh when I saw the Garfield book. I LOVE Garfield and now I'm going to have to get out some of my old books and go through them. I'm also writing down some titles from your haul to check out! I just wanted to stop by and tell you that I was nominated for a blog award and had to pick 5 of my favorite bloggers to shine the spotlight on and you were one of them! I hope you'll drop by to check it out. :-)
