Our fifth, and final, assignment in the read-along was to read the chapters fourteen through sixteen. Week Four: Chapters 14-16...
Now did this story end with a bang, or did it end with a bang?! Wait, that's a statement. It DID end with a bang. Wow. It was just totally insane. Scarlet's secret past was exposed and there seems to be only one thing to do to fix the situation... and it's not pretty. What is it? You have to read it to find out! Scarlet and Robin are an epic love story. Very epic in a way you'd never expect. The action sequence is so intense, it was perfect. I can't wait to see what else A.C. Gaughen has in store. If she can write a retelling of Robin Hood that is this good, she can do anything. :)

I may never stop happy dancing between the ending of Scarlet and the BIG NEWS that there's going to be more. MORE, Jessica! :-D I loved this book so much and although I was happy with the ending, I thought 'man, I really, REALLY hope there's more Scarlet' so I'm over the moon to know there will be! Now I just hope I can write a review worthy of this book...it's going to be hard!
ReplyDeleteI know! Happy dancing all around!!! AHHH!!! <3 I wanted there to be more too, although I would have been fine with it as is. There are some books that are awesome as standalones, but I think this one will be equally as awesome as a series. :) I wrote my review up last night. It was hard to put together. I almost wanted to just mash up all my weekly thoughts into one but I didn't. :P
DeleteI really liked the ending that Robin and Scarlet got, but I wasn't so happy that a certain person got away! All in all it was a great read, though and I am looking forward to spending more time with these characters. Characters are the key for me loving a book and all the merry men won me over.
