I splurged a teensy bit, but not much. Okay, it was too much. I couldn't help myself. I wanted to treat myself to some goodness to celebrate the new job after I got my first couple paychecks. What better way to treat oneself than to buy books? ♥ But, to be honest, the next couple months will be super frugal Jessica all the way. You know those moments when all you want is to read and not buy? I'm having that moment right now. The November and December editions will be quite small, trust me.

That was my awesome month of bookish goodness. How about you? Did you get anything good this week/month?

  2. Yay! Free Four! I loved that. I read it a few weeks ago and it made me desperately want all of Divergent from Four's POV! Also, I ADORED both Cinder and Shatter Me! Squee!! The new cover for Shatter Me actually looks quite nice. That's the first photo I've seen of the actual book (rather than just the cover art itself).

I hope you enjoy Uses for Boys! I love the cover for that one as well and it sounds like a great story. :)

  9. You already know how I feel about Steaking Parker, but Cinder was really good too. I won Shut Out last year and still haven't read it...bad bad bad lol. I've been thinking of splurging on Shatter Me, and if I enjoy The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, I might splurge on the second book. Great haul, Jess, I hope you enjoy them all! :-) <3

    1. Yes I do know! And I have heard great things about Cinder. I wanted to get it because of the retelling idea I had not long ago. Have you read anything by Kody Kepplinger yet? Because if not, YOU MUST. Oh, you so must. This month's haul is one I actually want to get to reading all of them straight away. I hope I enjoy them all too!! :D

  10. I've had Cinder on my reading list for a while, but haven't got round to it yet.

I found out about Eleanor & Park through a blogger last week and it went straight on to my Kindle Wish List.

    Enjoy your reads.

  11. I seem to have that problem whenever I go into a bookstore (and I don't have a new job to celebrate haha). I've been hearing some great buzz around Uses for Boys, so I can't wait to grab a copy. Happy reading :)

    1. I can't go into a bookstore without leaving with at least ONE book. If I do, it's very rare. Uses For Boys was an interesting one! :) Thanks!
