LOVE IS A DEAL BREAKER . . .

Millionaire ad executive Landon Downey has a policy: no romantic relationships allowed. So when he's saddled with his six-year-old nephew for a week, he doesn't think twice about asking Kimber Reynolds to act as live-in nanny. What he doesn't expect is the undeniable attraction to the woman he hasn't seen since they were kids. And not only does she like him back-she suggests they work their way down a list of extracurricular activities in the bedroom. How can he resist?

Kimber wants to prove once and for all that she can love 'em and leave 'em with the best of them. All she has to do is keep her sixteen-year crush on Landon out of the equation. No problem . . . until she realizes she may not be the only one whose heart has gotten completely tangled up in their no-strings agreement.

My Thoughts:

Since I was so impressed with the second book in this series, Hard To Handle, I knew I absolutely had to get my hands on this when the chance to read and review came up again. And was it as good as the first Jessica Lemmon book I read? Indeed it was.

I adore the whole 'having a crush on someone from years ago and now something is happening' premise. With Kimber and Landon, it's almost like it was inevitable. It's foolish to think that it's easy to walk away once the first kiss is stolen after years of build-up, but somehow it always seems to happen. In any case, their romance heated up nicely. I enjoyed her thoughts, especially this one:

"You're moving too slowly." Her voice came out all Jessica Rabbit-like, which made her want to laugh. She refused. Jessica Rabbit wouldn't laugh.

Really ? That's who you're channeling for this scenario ?

*literally laughs out loud* It's so cheesy I freaking love it. And I loved them together.

The Millionaire Affair was a worthwhile steamy read. Kimber and Landon had a nice chemistry as friends turned romance. I so love discovering authors like Jessica Lemmon that have a knack for sucking me into a story and making me want to buy all of their books. That's what makes a good author, when you want to pick up more than one book by them.
