When I accomplish certain big projects, I'll say to myself, "I really want this book, so maybe when I finish doing this annoying task, I'll buy it." And then I do. And I'm happy. :)Jessica L. Lol. Yep, the book can sometimes preoccupy us and keep us from the chores, hehehe. But it's worth it!Jessica L. I mean I think I'd just die out of anticipation (of reading more of the book) that I won't be able to focus on the project. This system doesn't work for me.

Rewards to me is buying MORE books!Life's Simple Pleasureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13356934474620583688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683638078189398634.post-68773907550999868752012-04-09T11:57:04.963-04:002012-04-09T11:57:04.963-04:00I do the same thing, read a chapter or two (or if ...I do the same thing, read a chapter or two (or if the chapters are long 25 pages) and then do a chore. I use tv the same way on commercial breaks I have to get up and do a chore until the show comes back on. Its a great way to balance getting things done and enjoying yourself (although granted I get so wrapped up in a book I don't notice I have passed my chore mark LOL).Angelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11236569596711092011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683638078189398634.post-47532190027436338102012-04-09T08:46:05.361-04:002012-04-09T08:46:05.361-04:00Lol, sometimes I reward myself with TV but that en...Lol, sometimes I reward myself with TV but that ends up being a BAD thing because I can't stop watching! I lock myself up too. :)Jessica L. It's a slippery slope for me. Which is why I tend to just lock myself up until what I need to do is done otherwise I would never be able to con concentrate.Lanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00002224549199474383noreply@blogger.com
