Books For Trade?

Howdy my lovely book lovers! I have boxes upon boxes of stuff piled in my room to put online to sell, including books (and crafts, handmade jewelry, My Little Ponies, toys, etc. in case you were wondering). Before I do though, I thought I would open it up for you guys to get first pick. I am open to trade for books I am currently on the lookout for.

Here's the deal though... I can't ship outside of US/Canada. You may be thinking, "Drat! Why not?!" Here's why: If I were to ship ONE  book outside of the US to you, it would cost me approximately $10. I am not joking either, I had this happen to me once. It would have been cheaper for me to ship it from The Book Depository. It just seems ridiculous for me to spend $10 on shipping to receive a book that I could spend LESS than $10 for online. So I apologize to anyone interested in a book on here that lives outside US/Canada for not being able to include you.

For those who are interested in trading books, please read the following:

1. All of these books are USED. Some of the used books are in better shape than others. All of these books are in decent and readable shape (which means that although some may have creases in the spine, a few bent pages, etc. they are not missing pages, have not been spilled on, etc.) If you have any problems with used books, please do not inquire. Please ask any questions about the books before agreeing to a trade (I am not going to be held responsible because you didn't ask about something ahead of time). I cannot take pictures at this time.
2. I am going to list the books I have available for trade along with an approximate value I deem them at. For example--if a book has a trade value of $5, and you have a book you value at $5, then we have a good trade. If you are interested in TWO books valued at a total of $10, and have ONE book valued at $10, then we have a good trade.
3. Please fill out the form at the bottom of the page to inquire. This will prevent me from having too many emails to keep track of.
4. Please note that I may not respond to your request. The reasons why could be any one of the following: I already had somebody contact me before you for the book(s) you are interested in; I am looking for the hardcover instead of the paperback or vice versa; I don't feel what you are offering is a fair trade; you aren't offering what is on my wishlist. If I am interested, I will respond!
5. I am NOT interested in BUYING books or doing partial trade/buys. So I request that you don't ask me to do either. Your request will be immediately ignored.
6. If I do follow through on a trade, I request that the package be sent with a tracking number. It costs 80 cents, but it is worth every penny to keep track of the package. Also, the package can be sent either Media Mail or First Class within the US, but whichever is chosen must be done by both parties. If you live in Canada, tracking will not apply if it is expensive.
7. This offer of trades is only going to be open until the end of the month. After that I am going to be putting the books on eBay.
8. I cannot guarantee that the package will arrive by Christmas. Since I can't control the postal service, I can't guarantee specific dates. If you need it by then, you may be better off finding a company that can do so.

I think I got it all covered there. If I've forgotten something, let me know.

Here's the list what I have for trade and their (approximate) trade value...

I also have 16 Sweet Valley High and Sweet Valley University (including Thriller) books available. I don't have enough time to list them all. If there are certain ones you are looking for, or if you would be interested in them all, please feel free to inquire and let me know which you are needing. The value for these books is approximately $1.50 each, but it would be a $16 value if you want them all.

Here's a link to books I'm interested in getting a copy of...

* Please no ARC's. Some of these books haven't been released yet, I am only interested in final copies of those. Also, some of the books on my wishlist I would like to get specifically in hardcover and paperback, depending on what I already have if it's in a series for continuity... yes, I am crazy.

Okay, now that you've read all this insanity... thank you for that... you may fill out the form...

  1. Darn. It's a shame I'm in Australia because I would have liked to take the Gossip Girl books off your hands :(

  2. I know! I wish it weren't so expensive. The Book Depository is the best thing to happen for book bloggers as far as international giveaways go.

  3. I have decided to do a BookSwap on my page too... and have no idea how it will work. Though, I am going to keep it open through out the year, and add to the list, once I finish a book. I know, though, that I should clean up my wishlist LOL - it has run away with me! Love your site!

Thank you for commenting and happy reading!

As of December 15th 2011, this blog is an award free zone. I am unable to keep up with the requirements for them. Thank you for thinking of me though!
