New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katee Robert begins a smoking hot new series about the O'Malley family-wealthy, powerful, dangerous and seething with scandal.

Teague O'Malley hates pretty much everything associated with his family's name. And when his father orders him to marry Callista Sheridan to create a "business" alliance, Teague's ready to tell his dad exactly where he can stuff his millions. But then Teague actually meets his new fiancée, sees the bruises on her neck and the fight still left in her big blue eyes, and vows he will do everything in his power to protect her.

Everyone knows the O'Malleys have a dangerous reputation. But Callie wasn't aware just what that meant until she saw Teague, the embodiment of lethal grace and coiled power. His slightest touch sizzles through her. But the closer they get, the more trouble they're in. Because Callie's keeping a dark secret-and what Teague doesn't know could get him killed.

My Thoughts:

I so enjoy a good marriage of convenience novel. Add in the element of suspense AND that it's by Katee Robert, well... let's just say this book was one of those I made grabby hands for. I wasn't sure what exactly the book would entail, other than what the synopsis suggests, but when I dove in I found myself thrown into a world of mystery, intrigue, and deep emotion.

The story starts off with a bang--making your heart race and getting you invested in what will happen next. It's followed shortly by Teague being chosen to marry Callie for the good of the family. Teague's family, the O'Malleys, and Callie's family, the Sheridans, are two of three mob families, and the alliance between the O'Malleys and the Sheridans is a necessary one. So Teague and Callie reluctantly agree to follow through on it. Luckily for them, their chemistry is immediate, and oh-so-freaking-hot.

Unluckily for them, this upcoming marriage is causing other difficulties when it comes to the third family, the Hallorans. Everyone is in danger, and there are a lot of life or death situations they all begin facing. Despite the fact that Teague and Callie are being forced into marriage, with everything happening around them, they begin to care about each other on a deeper level. While they have that (and the sparks), there's something even more important they both need for it to work out in the end... and that's trust.

The Marriage Contract will captivate you from the start and continue to tug at your heartstrings until the end. As book boyfriends go, Teague is definitely in my top ten--he's wonderful, loving, caring, and so swoonworthy, I swear I was losing my mind. Teague and Callie together was perfection. This book has gotten me very excited and anxious for the next book in the series!

    1. Oh yeah! If it weren't for the fact that it's one of my favorite authors, I may not have been so intrigued to start, but DUDE, I would've been missing out. :)
