Ashlyn just wants to move on with her life. Run her bakery. Heal her broken heart. She's had three years to try and forget Dante Fontaine.
To the rest of the world, Dante is Hollywood royalty, the ridiculously attractive oldest son of the notorious Fontaine family.
To Ashlyn? He’s the guy who took her virginity and made her swear off men forever.
But when an accidental--and humiliating--encounter brings him back into her life, Ashlyn realizes that no matter how hard she’s tried to forget about him, Dante definitely hasn’t forgotten about her.
…and this time, he's not going to let her go.
My Thoughts:
Ember Casey has always been a favorite of mine ever since she released her first book. I've picked up practically every book since and have yet to come across one that I didn't enjoy. This book is one I've been eagerly anticipating since The Secret to Seduction, and it didn't disappoint!
Ashlyn and Dante used to be together three years ago, but when they meet again after all this time, it brings back all those memories. Dante doesn't want Ashlyn to disappear from her life again, so he goes out of his way to explain everything that happened from the past to the present. They've both changed over the years, but Ashlyn is reluctant to allow Dante back in her life. If she does, she's opening herself up to a lot more than just a relationship. Since he's a celebrity, and a well-known one at that, dating would shine the spotlight on both of them. Are they willing to try again despite the obstacles that could be ahead?
The Sweet Taste of Sin is a sinfully sexy second chance romance. I loved how Ember incorporated the cake design into the story (from her personal experience). There was something about that aspect that added so much more to the story for me. The romance between Ashlyn and Dante was scorching AND adorable. I'm really looking forward to the next book in The Fontaines series!
