She planned for everything...except him.
Sara Greaves has been planning her perfect wedding since she was five. Twenty years. Wasted. When she's dumped by her fiancé, she heads to Vegas to forget and ends up at a hotel hosting a Romance Readers conference. Cuz she's lucky like that. Mr. Tall, Dark, And Anti-Marriage buys Sara a drink, and makes her a bet...she could marry any guy in Vegas tonight and make it work.
She wasn't supposed to choose him.
Ethan Munroe is a ruthless divorce lawyer who would have been voted "Least Likely To Marry (Ever)" in school. And yet, here he is with a hangover, a wedding band, and a sexy, gorgeous bride for the next month. A bride who doesn't want to stay married to him. He never planned this, but he can't bring himself to go for the speedy divorce. Has Mr. Anti-Marriage finally met his match?
What happens when you're suddenly dumped right before your wedding? Well, run off to Vegas to get away from all the people who feel sorry for her to pawn her wedding ring and have some fun. Sara isn't expecting to run into someone like Ethan at the pawn shop, but it's lucky that she does since she saves her from possibly losing money on the $70,000 ring. (Side note: HOLY CRAP HOW MUCH???) The two of them stick together around Vegas for drinks and dinner and talking, with a few kisses along the way. Until one night, he makes a bet with her to marry any random guy in Vegas and that she'll be in love with him in a month. When they accidentally get married, he asks her to follow through on the bet.
A Change of Plans was an unexpected journey leading to love. The story kind of blindsided me since I didn't read the synopsis, but that was my own fault. The sudden marriage kind of threw me at first, but I liked how it progressed until the end. Everything leading Sara and Ethan up to it before was cute as well. There's a lot more to the story regarding Ethan's past and most recent case, not to mention Sara's ex--so I liked how the story wasn't all about the two main characters. I'm curious to see what's coming next from Robyn Thomas.
