Update Thursday #76

Welcome to Update Thursday, my own personal meme of sorts where I post an update of the goings on at my blog, with reading and writing. Feel free to borrow the idea from me for your own bookish musings.

~ Before We Knew ~ 11, 449 ~
~ Whatever This Is ~ outlining ~
~ Under Enchanted Skies ~ 1,550/plotting ~

~ So I Thought ~ plotting ~
~ Hold Your Breath ~ plotting ~

The latest = I'm getting closer and closer to reaching my first goal (matching the above total again). Won't be long! I've been able to write pretty much every day, only missed one day. Next week will bring about more details. ^_^

Current scene I'm working on was split into two separate conversations in my NaNo draft. I'm trying to work it into one instead of separating it (because the reason for separating it no longer exists). This scene is one of the more important ones, so I am focusing on using the right words and only utilizing certain bits of the original draft. So, the last couple days I didn't break 500 words, but I broke it and then some the other days, so it all balances out in the end!

Until next time!

  1. I need to really hop on this Dublin Street bandwagon, everyone loves it! You've had a productive week, that's awesome!

    1. I bought it on a whim because I had just read Beautiful Disaster recently and wanted more like it. It was much more adult than I thought, but not bad. :) Thanks sweetie!

  2. I've always wanted to read the Bell Jar but I'm too afraid it's going to be incredibly depressing. I can't believe you're working on 7 novels! That's so impressive. My sister and I are on our third MS and I feel like I'm going to pass out half the time, LOL :) Good luck!

    1. I've always been curious about The Bell Jar, and thought since Banned Books Week is coming up, I should give it a go. Well, I'm sorta working on 7 novels, mostly focusing on the one and periodically jotting down notes for the others. Sometimes I feel a bit overwhelmed myself! Lol. Thank you! :)

  3. The Bell Jar is a good book. A little dark, maybe, but good. I first read it after a friend used Plath's poem Jilted as inspiration, and I wanted to learn more about her.

    Congrats on the continued progress!

    1. I really want to check out her poetry. I love reading poetry. I think that's part of what got me interested in The Bell Jar.

      Thanks so much! :D
