He had a ticket…to her bed!

Country music star Laci McCall is on the run. Away from her punishing tour schedule and her pushy manager. Away from the exhaustion. All she wants is to escape to her home-away-from-home in Woodsville, Kentucky. But there's a small problem—her bed at the Bradford Ranch is occupied by a damnably hot country boy…her first love.

Kane Dalton is overwhelmed by the fierce lust he'd long thought gone, and feelings he's tried to forget. He walked away from Laci once—a second time would damn near kill him. Now they have only a small, stolen moment together. Enough to surrender to that lightning-hot electricity once more. Enough to shake them to their cores…before reality crashes in and reminds them that their two worlds were never meant to collide.

My Thoughts:

It's funny... I didn't even read the synopsis when I requested this one, so when I started reading it, I was going in completely blind. I knew it would be a romance, and it IS a Blaze book, so I knew it would be a good one. Turns out, diving into it without knowing wasn't a bad idea at all!

Laci and Kane have a past, one that ended in going their separate ways because they each had different dreams. She achieves those dreams, but it was at the expense of losing him. They've both lived their lives apart, and now that they're together in the same place again, it's hard not to be tempted. Their passion isn't one to tame, and they still care a great deal about each other. But is it possible for them to work through the differences and have their lives meet somewhere in the middle?

The Hottest Ticket in Town was a charming story. These two former lovers still have chemistry, and you can feel the love under the surface. You can't help but cheer them on to find middle ground and work through everything. Kimberly Van Meter brought their story to life for sure!

  1. LOL that's how I read ALL of my books. I don't read blurbs ever. Only time they get read is once I sit down to do the reviews so I can check and see if things would be spoilery if mentioned.

Glad it turned out well for you. So sounds like a good one!

    1. I usually prefer to read the synopsis--there are certain tropes I don't like and if they warn me in the synopsis, it saves me from the pain. Lol. But it worked out well this time!
