Palmer Sinclair was on the edge of happily ever after when she broke off her engagement to Brady Grant. The end of their relationship marked the beginning of a painful solitary journey for her. Though she makes places beautiful with her work as an interior designer, the rest of her life is anything but beautiful – it’s slowly pulling her under.

Brady, a contractor, is swiftly building his business into an empire. Work is a faithful companion that never lets him down like Palmer did. When he sees women now, it’s on his terms. And his terms are simple: just sex. He won’t let a woman break him again.

Palmer is barely holding it together when she and Brady are unexpectedly paired on a project after a year apart. The pull between them is stronger than ever, but the fallout from their reconnection leaves them both wondering if maybe some things are better left unsaid.

My Thoughts:

I went into this story feeling like it had potential for something extremely beautiful. While it was a nice story, there was something about it that sort of fell short for me.

It feels as though Brady and Palmer could be perfect for one another, but issues came between them and caused them to go their separate ways. Now that they're stuck together, they can't avoid each other...or the past. They try to avoid it, but their connection is one they can't deny. Palmer and Brady can't refrain themselves from getting involved again, behind closed doors anyway. Will they be able to open up about the real reasons why they broke up to begin with and be able to rebuild again?

Unspoken was a romance filled with emotion and honesty. The relationship "issues" that came between them were mostly misunderstandings and could have been resolved. The intensity of their getting back together seemed a little bit extreme, but I could still feel the love Brady and Palmer shared. While the drama felt a little over the top, it was still a sweet romance in the end.

My Rating:

  1. Book plots that rely on misunderstandings always kind of bug me. Even if it is kinda realistic. Btw, the girl on the cover totally looks like Megan Fox.

    1. Oh yeah--I can see it work for some stories, but others it just feels like forced conflict. And LOL, she does!
