From one-night stand to one huge secret! Only from USA TODAY bestselling author Catherine MannJewelry designer Amie McNair would do anything for her dying grandmother, including promise to travel with the outsider chosen to run her family's business empire. Simple. All she has to do is keep her hands to herself and find a way to let the sexy new CEO know she's pregnant with his child.
Preston Armstrong has secrets of his own. But spending a week with Amie has this tight-lipped cowboy longing to open up. Even if his past threatens their future—as a couple, and a family.
My Thoughts:
This story pulled me in from the get-go! It all starts with Amie and Preston meeting--an instant attraction and all. It's very romantic and I could feel how real it was. It isn't until later that night she realizes he's the new CEO of her family's business. This, of course, changes everything. Amie attempts to avoid Preston at all costs, especially when she knows she's having his baby. It becomes impossible when they're stuck together for one week by themselves. Temptations arise, and the secret comes out. Once he knows, that's when the feels start--because Amie's pregnancy reminds him of something that happened in his past, something that terrifies him. Will they be strong enough to have a future?
Pregnant by the Cowboy CEO is one of those books that has a trope you know, but feels you never expect. It was so gripping, your heart is right there with Amie and Preston with all the emotions they're going through with the past and the present. I also enjoyed the family, especially her grandmother. There was just this amazing mix of charm, warmth, and love. It's my first book by Catherine Mann, and I'm very excited to read the stories that led up to this one in The Diamonds in the Rough series.
My Rating:
I have this one on my tbr pile just for the title but awesome to hear it's a good read :D Lola enjoyed it too. Definitely checking it out :D
