Jessica's 2016 Reading Goals

Welcome to the post about Jessica's 2016 Reading Goals!

I decided last year that 2016 was going to be my year for getting caught up on a bunch of books I've been wanting to read. I spent most of 2014 and 2015 reading like 95% review books, which is all well and good, but it meant I rarely got to read any me books.

So, this year is going to be different. I'll still read a few review books (because there are a few authors I read ARCs for consistently), but I want to place my focus mostly on the ones I've been saying I'll read but haven't. I've purchased so many books over the years, I need to start reading them before their only purpose is to collect dust on my shelves (or, um, in my Nook).

I started a list of the ones I want to make a point to read this year. I know I won't get to all of them. I know I'll have other books distract me. I know I'll see a book or two or three that I left off the list that I should have put on the list. This is here more as a reminder to me. Whatever I can't get to in 2016, I'll focus on in 2017! ^_^

So. *cracks knuckles* Here goes nothing!

This is just a list of the ones that are already out and have been out for a few months to a year at least. I own the majority of these, and the rest I'll either be purchasing this year or borrowing from the library. So 2016 is going to be full of some AH-MAZING books!

Do you have any specific reading plans for 2016?

  3. Yikes that a lot of books! I do know how you feel. Sometimes I think I'm just reading for the sake of posting reviews or so I can do research for my own books. This year I'm trying to be more organised about it so that I have time for me as well. Good luck!
