What happens when a fake wedding date gets all too real?
Pretend to be famous bachelor Julian Cooper's girlfriend? Some women might be thrilled with the request—not Gretchen McAlister. Her job is planning weddings, not being the best man's date. But after Julian's latest celebrity breakup, "ordinary" Gretchen is the perfect PR ploy.

Julian is against the whole plan…until he meets Gretchen. Honest and beautiful—even beneath her fancy makeover—his new "girlfriend" makes him want something more, something real…

My Thoughts:

I adored the premise of this book! When you pair two unlikely to meet people into a situation like this, it can go several different ways. For Julian, he's enamored by Gretchen--she's real and isn't fawning all over him. That's entirely new. And for Gretchen, she gets to discover a side to Julian that not many people know about. During their time together, he has to loosen her up to play the role of girlfriend. The attraction is there, and when they touch and kiss, so is the chemistry. Since this is only temporary, and she's getting paid, there's no way it will go on beyond their one week, right?

One Week with the Best Man is another winning book from Andrea Laurence! Gretchen completely bloomed as the story progressed--her insecurities were there, but she started to overcome them as she gained confidence in herself. The romance between her and Julian was phenomenal, and you could feel it slowly turning from a job to something more. This book was a great continuation to the Brides and Belles series!

When a prim and proper baker and a laid-back bartender have a neighborly disagreement that gets them both in trouble with the law, a sweet reconciliation is stirred up in the playful third romance in Andrea Laurence’s sexy Rosewood series.

Maddie’s life is perfectly sweet. Her bakery’s tasty treats are rising to the top of every must-have list in town, and her commute is just a block away by foot. She loves everything about her little downtown Victorian bungalow—except for her unbearably noisy neighbor, Woody’s. The bar’s obnoxious and sexy owner, Emmett, seems to live to aggravate Maddie. But he mostly thinks she could use a stiff drink to dislodge the stick up her ass. He’s just trying to run his business. Bars stay open late, they play music, they serve alcohol. If she doesn’t like it, why did she buy a house across the street?

When Maddie and Emmett’s battle lands them in front of the local judge, they’re ordered to do several weeks of community service cleaning parks and painting over graffiti. As they scrub away the latest works of art by the town’s anonymous “Penis Picasso,” the baker and the bartender slowly begin to see there’s more to each other than meets the eye. So what happens if they wave the white flag and surrender into each other’s arms?

My Thoughts:

This book was so completely heartwarming and hilarious at the same time! I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked it up, I was just glad to be reading something new by Andrea Laurence. Maddie and Emmett are enemies. They're both battling with each other over their businesses--his keeps her up at night when she needs to be sleeping and she keeps calling the cops on him for noise. Everything reaches a head when they're both forced into community service. The close quarters causes them to really get to know each other and actually work together for once. Their banter turns friendly, leading them to something more that neither of them anticipated.

Stirring Up Trouble was one of those novels that takes you by surprise with its ability to give you exactly what you need. Humor, heart, banter, love... it's the perfect enemies to lovers combination! I laughed so much reading the book (I mean, Penis Picasso? I wish I thought of that!) and it just kept getting better. This is the third book in the Rosewood series and let me tell you something, people: I must (MUST) read the rest of the series as soon as I can. I have Feeding the Fire lined up as one of my next non-review books because this book was just that good. Can't wait to revisit this town and all the people!

Going from black sheep to king, with the help of one very special woman…
Gabriel Montoro's worst nightmares are realized when his older brother abdicates the throne of Alma, leaving fun-loving playboy Gabe next in line. Now he needs to shape up—fast. That's where Serafia Espina fits in.
The exquisite ex-supermodel can school him in the social niceties. But as they get into the royal routine, Gabe begins to see this old family friend in a very different light. Soon the protocols are out the window, and Serafia is sharing his bed. But is this angel hiding something that could threaten what they've begun?

My Thoughts:

I enjoyed the first book in the Dynasties: The Montoros series, Minding Her Boss's Business. So when the chance came to read another book in the series by one of my favorites, Andrea Laurence, of course I jumped for it.

Gabriel needs help changing his image, and Serafia, an old friend, is just the person to help him. She steps in to get his life to where it needs to be for the sake of his family. It doesn't take long before their attraction grows stronger, and how much they care about each other becomes a defining thing in each of their lives. It leads them to a kiss, which takes them down a new road. Gabriel needs to start making some serious decisions, and figure out where Serafia fits into his new life--if she wants to remain in it.

Seduced by the Spare Heir was an alluring and sweet story. I loved how there was more below the surface for Gabe with an event that happened years before, and the same with Serafia's past. It drew them closer, and the romance that bloomed from it felt so much more real. I can't wait to see what else is in store in this series!

Pepper has no interest in Grant Chamberlain…until she accidentally wins him at a school auction and finds the mega-hot firefighter impossible to ignore. Find out what happens next in the second playful and sexy ebook romance in the Rosewood series!

Living in the small town of Rosewood, Alabama, hairdresser Pepper Anthony has one rule—never date a Chamberlain. She’s always said, “the only thing worse than being ignored by a Chamberlain is being dumped by one.” But Grant Chamberlain, town fireman, isn’t used to rejection, and Pepper has consistently turned him down since high school. She isn’t intimidated by his family; she’s one of the few who refuses to take their crap.

When Grant volunteers at the charity bachelor auction, to his surprise, Pepper buys him. She hadn’t meant to, but Adelia Chamberlain dropped a cold drink in her lap, sending her leaping into the air at precisely the wrong moment. Suddenly she had a massive bill to the town and Grant at her disposal. Since the money has to come from her “restore the house” fund, she decides to use Grant for manual labor instead of romantic dinners. Grant is happy to help, sweaty and shirtless, because one way or another, he’s going to get Pepper to admit she’s attracted to him. All it takes is a small spark, and soon they’ll be fanning the flames.

Excerpt

Grant stepped out from behind the curtain to a roar of applause. The minute the lights hit him, Pepper felt her heart skip a beat in her chest like she’d been hit with paddles of a defibrillator. He was wearing a black, slim-fit suit with a black shirt and tie. Even though he was indoors and it was nighttime, he was wearing his trademark Ray-Ban sunglasses. The glasses always seemed to accent the square line of his jaw and the sharp angle of his nose.
His full lips curled into his charming smile, with the slightest hint of a dimple visible on his cheek. It reminded her of him looking at her, just like that, from between her trembling thighs.
Damn him for being so sexy. His confidence made him that much more attractive. And frustrating. And irritating. Her fingers itched to reach for her paddle, but she resisted. She wasn’t going to pay for his time, even when he smiled at her that way.
“The lucky lady with the winning bid will go with Grant to a romantic dinner at Brio’s in Birmingham and if she likes, he’ll take her on an exhilarating ride down a windy country road on the back of his motorcycle.”
Pepper could almost see all the wild fantasies rushing through the heads of every woman in the room. It was a nice thought—hair blowing in the wind, thighs clamped around Grant’s narrow hips, arms wrapped around his waist. Even she could imagine the hard feel of his abs beneath the thin cotton of his T-shirt and the vibration of the engine against her most sensitive parts. There was a rumble of approval as they readied their paddles and sized up their competition.
Good luck to them, Pepper thought.
Like a beach ball bouncing around the room, the bids flew fast and furious. Before long, they’d topped three thousand.
Suddenly Pepper felt awkward. Even though she and Grant weren’t dating, she didn’t exactly want to sit around and watch other women battle for him. Looking around the room, she spied Adelia Chamberlain coming back to her table with a glass of ice water. Maybe another drink would help. Or perhaps it was the right time for a restroom break. She could beat all the other women that would rush the ladies’ room when the auction ended.
Pepper slipped her purse onto her shoulder and picked up her paddle so she could dump it in the bathroom trash can. “I’m going to get some air,” she whispered to Ivy, then started to get up.
The ambush was sudden and unexpected. When they first came in Pepper had noticed the cable that the A/V people had taped to the floor, but the room was much darker now. Adelia didn’t see it and caught the toe of her shoe on it. She didn’t fall, thank goodness, but she did stumble, slinging her full glass of ice water into Pepper’s lap.
With a cry of surprise and alarm, Pepper leapt out of her chair, holding her arms high to avoid the water that practically covered her from neck to knees.
“Four thousand!” Allison Price announced from the stage.
The MC’s words were an even larger shock to Pepper than the water. She turned her head toward Grant and the action onstage. He was looking straight at her with a wide smile of confidence across his face. He winked at her, and Pepper felt her stomach sink into her boot. Allison was pointing in Pepper’s direction, trying to coax a higher bid out of the audience.
Yes, please, she screamed in her head. Make it forty-five hundred. Hell, make it four thousand and one penny. Just outbid her. She was answered with deafening silence. The only one in the room making a sound was Allison up on stage. It seemed that suddenly, all the battling women seemed to give up. Even Grant wasn’t worth that much, it seemed, and she agreed.
“No!” Pepper shouted, but there was no stopping it.
“Going once . . . going twice . . .”
“I didn’t mean to—”
“Sold! To the lady in the blue sweaterdress, paddle twenty-two!”
Pepper looked down at her dark blue sweater, suddenly made even darker by the spreading water mark. Her damned paddle, the one she never wanted to begin with, was still in her hand. She watched as it slipped from her fingers, clattering to the ground in slow motion as the gravity of the situation caught up with her. Four thousand dollars. She’d just bid four thousand dollars. Because of well-aimed ice water.
“Oh, Pepper,” Miss Adelia fussed, dabbing her with an inadequate cocktail napkin and shaking off the well-meaning hands of the folks that were more concerned about the older woman nearly falling. “I am so sorry. I didn’t even see that silly cord,” she said. “Is your dress okay?”
She couldn’t respond. All Pepper could do was close her eyes and try to keep the tears of frustration and aggravation from rushing down her cheeks.
She had just paid four thousand dollars for a date with Grant Chamberlain.

Even with a baby on the way, Amelia's holding out for the perfect husband. Tyler has thirty days to prove he's the one.

Best friends Tyler Dixon and Amelia Kennedy eloped to Vegas on a whim. But before they can deal with their quickie divorce, she confesses: she's pregnant. Now there's no way Tyler will agree to go their separate ways. He wants them to stay married, raise their child together, share a house—and a bed.

Yet Amelia has always dreamed of a perfect marriage …and she doesn't think this self-made millionaire is lifetime material despite their friendship. She's given him just one month to prove her wrong….

My Thoughts:

At the end of the first Brides and Belles book, Snowed In With Her Ex (which was awesome, by the way), we get a tease of this lovely story. As soon as I heard this tease, I knew I had to read it. Amelia married her best friend Tyler in Vegas? Um, gotta find out how their story ends. Even more titillating is the fact that she's now pregnant with his child.

Amelia, of course, wants a divorce still. However, now that there's a child involved, Tyler isn't going to give up that easily. So they're going to give it a shot--thirty days to fall in love. She needs to have love be part of this marriage, otherwise she's not in and they go back to being just friends. The journey the two of them take over those thirty days is full of ups and downs, but also the sweetest romantic and sensual moments.

Thirty Days to Win His Wife held on to my heart and didn't let go. I was pulled into Amelia and Tyler's story, crossing my fingers and waiting on the edge of my seat. I wanted to see their love blossom and grow. Andrea Laurence is absolutely going to be a go-to author for me. There's no doubt about it.

Trapped in a cabin with the man who makes her want what she shouldn't have…

Wedding photographer Briana Harper never expected to run into her ex at an engagement shoot! And when a blizzard strands them…alone…in a remote mountain cabin, she knows she's in trouble. She's never forgotten Ian Lawson, but none of the reasons they broke up have changed. He's still a workaholic. And now he's an engaged workaholic!

But Ian is also still a man who knows what he wants. And what he wants is Briana. Untangling the lies of his current engagement leaves him free to …indulge. Yet proving he's changed may be this music mogul's toughest negotiation yet….

My Thoughts:

Oh, Harlequin Desire, how I love you. I read the synopsis for this one and immediately had to get my hands on it... because SNOWED IN. I thoroughly enjoy reading these kind of romances, watching two people who are trapped try to find a way out and discovering love along the way.

Briana and Ian have a past, and now they're together again with her taking pictures of him and his soon-to-be wife. Bad combination, right? It gets worse when the snow storm hits and it's just the two of them trapped at the cabin since Ian's fiancée, Missy, can't make it. Their past comes to the surface when she hands him his guitar, leading them to a not-so-innocent kiss. The guilt is short-lived when a lie comes to the surface about Missy...but what's next for Briana and Ian when the snow melts?

Snowed In With Her Ex was the perfect take on this kind of romantic tale. I loved seeing Briana and Ian come to terms with everything they're facing, past and present. Everything ties together, making the ending worth the journey. I'm very interested in seeing what's next in Andrea Laurence's Brides and Belles series!
