Weekly Prompt #1 & What's Your Status? #1

Weekly Prompt comes from Jenny @ New Books for New Bloggers.

Week #007: History, Present, or Future?
What is your preferred setting for books? What about that setting appeals to you most? What are your favorite books with this setting?

I like pretty much a combination of them all, but I'd say my focus has usually been on the present. In more recent times, I've been getting into the future dystopian universe. I have 3 of those on their way to me in the mail.

What's Your Status comes from Butterfly Feet Walking On Life. The object is to post what you have finished in the last week, what you are currently reading, what you plan to read in the coming week, and what you want to buy next. You can also post about reviews you've written and memes you have done, though these aren't mandatory. And to take on a good suggestion from Marla @ Starting The Next Chapter and also post the status of my reading challenges (since I have two now).

Finished This Week:
Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty (reread)
Jekel Loves Hyde by Beth Fantaskey

Currently Reading:
A Tale Of Two Pretties by Lisi Harrison (last book in The Clique series)
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
The Dark Divine by Bree Despain

To Be Read Next:
Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

What To Buy Next:
Deadly Decisions by Kathy Reichs (book #3 in the Temperance Brennan series... once I finish book #2, I need the next one ready to go!)
Fallout by Ellen Hopkins

Pants On Fire by Meg Cabot
Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols

Memes This Week:
Musing Monday #2
Teaser Tuesday #2
Waiting On Wednesday #2
Booking Through Thursday #1 AND Update Thursday #6

Challenges Update:
Goodreads 2011 Reading Challenge: I'm at book number 14 of 50, which is 4 books behind. Working on getting ahead there!
Off The Shelf Challenge: I just started this one. I have the 5 books I'm going to read picked out. Just waiting to finish my library books first. ^_^

PHEW!! Now to get to reading and reviewing!

As of December 15th 2011, this blog is an award free zone. I am unable to keep up with the requirements for them. Thank you for thinking of me though!
