Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Best Realistic New Adult Books

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke And The Bookish. Head over there and join in on the fun!

Topic for this week:
Top Ten Best Realistic New Adult Books

You know what I'm talking about... there are so many books out there labeled "New Adult" and some of them are either not remotely "New Adult" (clearly more erotica/adult contemporary/contemporary romance/women's fiction, etc.) or they're so full of unnecessary angst and ridiculous drama you need to have a pillow nearby to punch all your angries out in it.

BUT!!!

I promise you, there are some really amazing, honest to goodness, true New Adult books out there. Every last one of the books on this list are absolute perfection when it comes to embracing the genre. They have just the right amount of romance coupled with learning how to make it in the real world for the first time. A few are hard hitting with serious issues that the main character/love interest have to face, others are just coming-of-age, and some of them? Well, bring a box of tissues and brace yourself for the feels.

I highly recommend every last one of these books, and will continue to recommend them FOREVER.

  1. The only one I've read is Sophie Jordan. I enjoyed it but haven't continued on for some reason. I LOVE Kennedy but still need to try her NA. Her adult ones are fab.

    1. The Ivy Chronicles series is great--I've read them all. :) And Kennedy is amazing, you definitely need to pick up The Deal soon!
