A kiss is only the beginning...

Pinterest Perfect. Or so Annie Carson’s life appears on her popular blog. Reality is... messier. Especially when it lands her back in one-cow town, Brightwater, California, and back in the path of the gorgeous six-foot-four reason she left. Sawyer Kane may fill out those wranglers, but she won’t be distracted from her task. Annie just needs the summer to spruce up and sell her family’s farm so she and her young son can start a new life in the big city. Simple, easy, perfect.

Sawyer has always regretted letting the first girl he loved slip away. He won’t make the same mistake twice, but can he convince beautiful, wary Annie to trust her heart again when she’s been given every reason not to? And as a single kiss turns to so much more, can Annie give up her idea of perfect for a forever that’s blissfully real.

My Thoughts:

MY HEART.

Seriously. My heart! This book pulled at my heartstrings and gave me heart flutters. I anticipated it being all sweet and cute and everything, but I didn't realize how much.

Watching the relationship between Annie and Sawyer develop is nothing short of beautiful. I loved seeing events unfold, how they handled themselves. The setting was perfection, and it added to everything in the best way. It was great to see their love build slowly over time, not just happening in a snap. There's so much charm to the story--not just the romance between Annie and Sawyer, but also the people of the town and Annie's son, Atticus. They all stole my heart!

Last First Kiss was such a gorgeous story. I laughed (THE COW), I teared up (Sawyer with Atticus and the puppies), and I fell in love along with them (with each and every kiss). Second chance romances always tug at the heart, and this one was no exception. This is the first book by Lia Riley that I've read and it most certainly will not be the last! Highly recommended!
