As far as Nina Beaumont is concerned, money ruins everything. Leave it to her wealthy family to screw up her professional life and her personal life. When she crashes and her car sinks, sending her identification and all her belongings spiraling into the watery abyss, Nina sees her chance to escape.

And stumbles into a job with the hottest man she’s ever met…as his maid.

Between running an inn, caring for his grandmother, and trying to keep the dirty-dealing Beaumont Corporation from stealing his land, Joe Farina's plate is full. He doesn't have time for romantic entanglements—especially not with the suspiciously bad maid he just hired, no matter how much he needs her…both in and out of his bed.

Screwing with her life is one thing, but Nina’s not about to let her family screw with Joe. That is, if she doesn’t lose him when he finds out who she really is.

My Thoughts:

From the start, I could completely empathize with Nina: when your life feels like it's not going the direction you'd like it to go and you're not appreciated for what you do. It would be nice to abandon your life, just for a little while, and experience something new and challenging. So when a duck waddles into the road causing Nina to drive her car into a quarry, she sees her chance and grabs onto it with both hands. Armed with only her phone and the clothes on her back, she runs into Joe who assumes she's there to work as his maid. She goes with it because this is exactly what she needs--a complete change. The attraction between Nina and Joe is apparent, although both of them realize they shouldn't since they work together. The temptation builds beyond their ability to resist and they fall into bed together. But Nina's secret might be the one thing that could hurt Joe more than anything.

His Millionaire Maid was a funny and cute story! It was a teensy bit ridiculous as far as the circumstances Nina fell into by chance, but it was amusing and led her to where she wanted to be. The relationship with Nina and Joe was what they both needed--for her to live a simpler and more fulfilling life, and him to let loose a little bit. It was sweet and charming. I enjoyed all the side characters Nina encounters when she's in Hartley working for Joe. Coleen Kwan's story is a worthwhile read!
