Release Day Review: The Lying Hours by Sara Ney

It's release day for The Lying Hours by Sara Ney!

Title: The Lying Hours
Author: Sara Ney

ABRAHAM DAVIS—Honest Abe to his friends—IS IN OVER HIS HEAD...

He’s a fixer and a do good-er. The all-knowing, resident "grandfather" on the wrestling team who everyone relies on to fix their problems. His teammates go to him for everything; advice, homework, or when they need a sober driver at three in the morning--whether he likes it or not.

Abe’s current mission is easy: mend his roommates broken heart by helping him find a girlfriend on the LoveU app--without getting caught in the lie...

SKYLAR GABRIEL. IS. OVER. IT.

Over her bad grades. Over her meddling older brother and his two best friends. And over dating douchebags. What she wants to know is: where have all the nice guys gone?

She longs for a handsome, sweet, and honest guy who can make her laugh. In one last ditch effort to prove that he exists—Skylar turns to LoveU.

On her worst day, Skylar has no filter (it’s a miracle she hasn’t been ditched mid-date).
On her best, she’s as wholesome, and sweet, as pie.
On Thursday? She matches with Abraham Davis’s roommate.

Skylar Gabriel is falling for the wrong guy—she just doesn’t realize it yet.

Why?

BECAUSE ABE DAVIS IS A LIAR.

My Thoughts:

For a long time, I had been seeing Sara Ney's How to Date a Douchebag series all over my Facebook timeline. My curiosity was piqued so I got the first book in the series and read it. I basically became a fan from that moment forward. So when the opportunity came for an ARC of the next book, you know I had to read it.

The Lying Hours features Abe and Skylar in a tangled web on a dating app called LoveU. Abe is helping his roommate by looking for girls for him on the app, and when he comes across Skylar, he's finding himself very interested in her. But since he's pretending to be his roommate, that kind of throws a wrench in things. However, Abe is determined to figure out how to fix this and get to know Skylar as himself.

This book is just as amazing as the rest of the series! I loved the premise of the story, and seeing it play out was brilliantly done. Abe is such a sweetheart and his devotion to Skylar is unmatched. Skylar opened herself up to Abe despite any misgivings, creating a pretty sweet romance.

If you haven't read Sara Ney yet, I highly recommend her books. The How to Date a Douchebag series is the best! The stories are connected, but each book is standalone, so if you want to start with The Lying Hours you totally can.

Can't wait for the next Douchebag book!!

My Rating: ⭐
